She knows me now, finally huh. My mind kept playing images of her long jet black hair and bright violet eyes that seems to stare right through me. How could anybody be so.....perfect. I slowed down on the runway in front of my uncle's house and parked it there. I tried to shake away every image of Sophia that was on my mind now and walked into the house.
'I'm back.' I said as I entered the house.
'Oh, Alex. How was your day?' said Zac, my uncle as he appeared on the stairway.
'Fine.' I answered, as I thought that he looked angry.
'Well, you fucking lied to me. So I'm not having a great day.' he shouted as he threw the newspapers in front of me.
ANIMAL ATTACK
All blood drained out of all bodies. Unknown animal still on the hunt. 6 people, all females had died with the same way. 'An animal attack?! Come on Zac, you know I wouldn't do it. I don't feed on them anymore.' I said, a little taken aback.
'Then if it wasn't you. Who the fuck was it?! You are the only vampire in this whole fucking town. If I find out you're lying, you're out of here.' shouted Zac as his face filled with doubt.
'Me.' said a deep voice from the entrance.
'Who the hell are you?' I demanded. The voice sounded familiar though.
'I can't believe you have forgotten about me, brother.' said the man as he stepped into the hall.
'Gabriel?' I asked incredulously, fear slowly creeping into me.
'Bingo. Miss me?' said Gabriel smugly.
'I thought you were out of my life,Gabriel. For good.' I said, still shocked.
'Tsk Tsk Tsk. What happened to all the brotherly love you showered me with before this?' asked Gabriel sarcastically.
'I did? Must be in between the torture you gave me last century that I hate so much.' I answered, with venom in my voice.
'Oops, my bad.' he said, trying his best to piss me off.
I wished I could wipe that fucking smug off his face.
'Why are you here anyway?' I asked.
'Well, I had to fulfill my promise, don't I. The one I made when you convinced me to do the worst thing that I still regret now. Also, I heard you have a new girl toy that looks exactly like -' said Gabriel calmly, trying to act cool as I cut him off.
'Oh, so a 100 years isn't enough for you? You don't know Sophia, don't try making her sound like Avelyn.' I shouted back, but I whispered the word Avelyn.
'STOP STOP STOP!' screamed Zac, as both of us, Gabriel and I just noticed him.
I kicked the table and ran up to my room. I opened my drawer and took out my diary. I instantly started writing.
'Alexander, you should change your name to Alexandra. Writing a diary, you wuss. Same old, same old.' said Gabriel from behind.
'Why do you give a shit anyway? I just want to remember what happens everyday.' I glared at him.
'Oh stop it, Alex. We're both the same deprived souls. We're brothers after all.' said Gabriel, his eyes sparkling with danger.
'Shut it, please. I don't want to hear anymore of your shit. Just get out of my room. I don't bite some random stranger's head off, unlike you.' I said, pushing his patience to his limit.
'Give up the big attitude, brother. It doesn't suit you. Well, I'll see you again, roomie.' Gabriel said, as if he was actually hurt by words. Everyone who knows Gabriel knows that Gabriel is a person who knows no pity nor pain.
'He must be acting.' I thought silently.
I continued writing about Sophia in my diary till I drifted off to sleep, just like that.
