I turned my head and he was actually staring at me intensely as if he has been watching my every move. I smiled at him, but he was pointing towards the front of the classroom.
I turned my head again, and there he was, Mr.Hoffman.
'Ms.Pheely, keep your flirting for recess.' scolded Mr.Hoffman.
'Ms.Philips.' I corrected him again.
'Okay, Ms.Philips. I know your parents died, but it was months ago. So, I hope you give your fullest attention now.' lectured Mr.Hoffman.
'UGH!'
'When was the declaration of peace during the war between US and China, Ms. Philips?' asked Mr.Hoffman.
'1874.' answered Alex.
'Correct .... Ms.Philips.' said Mr.Hoffman sarcastically.
After class, Alex was outside the classroom so I headed towards him.
'Hey, thanks for saving my ass just now. I'm really grateful.' I told him as I smiled.
'You're welcomed. I'm Alex by the way. But, I think you already know me.' he said as he winked.
'Yeah, Alex.' I said softly.
'I'll see you around then, I think we have a few classes together.' he said as he started to walk away.
'Oh, sure.' I answered as I weakly waved my hand.
He smiled back at me. He has this cute smile that seemed to have imprinted on my mind. I'll be looking forward to see him again. I felt myself smile naturally. It's been a while.......since I felt this way.
